Boy’s killer still on the run in Southern China, despite offer of large reward

Police in Southern China have failed to find an attacker who stabbed two children to death and severely injured another in a city park last month, China News Service reports.
A 100,000-yuan (HK$126,000) reward has been offered, and sketches of the suspect have been posted following the brutal attack in the centre of Heyuan, Guangdong province, on the afternoon of October 24.
The surviving boy was stabbed 23 times in the attack.
The suspect is a man aged about 30, about 170cm tall, slender, with short hair and darker skin tone. He wore a black and white horizontal striped T-shirt and black crop-legged pants while carrying a red and yellow shopping bag and a knife.
While the main reward is for vital information leading to the capture of the suspect, up to 20,000 yuan is also being offered for other substantial information.
Earlier media speculated that the attacker was mentally kill. The two boys who died were aged eight and nine. The surviving boy, also nine, was reported to be in stable condition at a hospital in Heyuan
All three boys were believed to have attended the same primary school.
