Religion always teaches the good for the individual. It is organised religion that is shit.
The latter always suppresses the rights of the individual for the supposedly good of the organised religious community. It allows often self proclaimed and so called religious leaders to lord over the masses, interpreting and manipulating religious doctrines for their own self serving benefits. In the process, the individual is often forced towards behaviour that not only curb the individual's own right for religious freedom, but also behaviour that is detrimental to himself, his own family and even the very society in which he functions.
History is littered with numerous accounts of conflicts, wars, persecutions, murders, acts of terror, etc, etc that started merely by the proclamations of religious leaders....
