Breaking: Lee Wei Ling & Lee Hsien Yang sue Singapore Government

Lee Kuan Yew’s two younger children initiated court action in Singapore relating to an agreement between their late father, the city’s first prime minister, and the government.
Lee Wei Ling and Lee Hsien Yang, executors of the elder Lee’s estate, filed a court application on Sept. 2, according to a record with the Singapore High Court. Their father’s agreement related to the "custody and use" of interviews given by the former premier to the government’s Oral History Department, according to a statement by the Attorney-General, the respondent.
“The government will establish the proper interpretation and status of the agreement before the court,” it said in the statement.

Further details of the case weren’t immediately available, and Lee Hsien Yang declined to comment. Lee Wei Ling wasn’t immediately available to comment.
The Republic of Singapore’s founding father, Lee Kuan Yew, died on March 23 at the age of 91, triggering a nationwide outpouring of grief. More than a million people waited for as long as 10 hours to pay their last respects.

Lee’s death and celebrations to mark Singapore’s 50th year of independence helped the ruling People’s Action Party, helmed by eldest son Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, extend its more than five-decade rule at the Sept. 11 election.

So, if the govt loses this lawsuit, are the taxpayers left with a large bill to pay their damages? What about their attorney fees and the what about the costs incurred by the AG to fight this lawsuit? All this causes the people of singapore money. These 2 children of Old Fart are so filthy rich, their father and mother already stole so much money and made money illegally. If anyone has benefitted the most from the Lee despotism, its these 2 assholes. Liek that also not happy?

　　曹操死後，太子曹丕繼承他做了魏王和丞相，掌握朝廷大權。曹丕即魏王位以後，有人告發他的弟弟、臨淄侯曹植經常喝酒罵人，還把他派去的使者扣押起來。曹丕立即派人趕到臨淄，把曹植逮住了押回鄴城審問。
　　原來，曹丕和曹植都是曹操的妻子卞後生的。曹操不但是個政治家、軍事家，又是個文學家，兄弟倆也擅長詩文，文學史上把他們父子合稱為“三曹”。曹植從小聰明非凡，十幾歲時候，就讀了不少書，能寫很出色的文章。有一次，曹操看了曹植的文章，有點懷疑，問曹植說：“這是你請人代寫的嗎？”
　　曹植跪下來說：“兒出口成文，下筆成章。怎麼會叫人代寫呢。父王不相信，可以面試。”
　　曹操試了曹植幾次，覺得他果然才華出眾，因此對他特別寵愛，多次想把他封為王太子，只是因為有些大臣反對，才決定不下來。
　　曹丕怕自己地位不穩，想方設法討曹操歡喜。有一次，曹操出外打仗，曹丕、曹植都去送行。臨別的時候，曹植當場念了一段頌揚曹操功德的文章，大家聽了十分讚賞。
　　有人在曹丕耳邊小聲說：“大王要離開了，你只要表示傷心就是了。”曹丕果然抹著眼淚向曹操告別，曹操很受感動，也掉下了淚。
　　這件事使曹操覺得曹丕文才雖然不如曹植，但是心地老實，對他有感情。再加上左右侍從替曹丕說好話的人不少，曹操寵愛曹植的心漸漸變了。
　　曹植是個不注意小節的人。有一次，他竟在王宮裡坐著車馬，私自打開王宮外門出去。這件事可違犯了宮裡的規矩。
　　曹操聽了這件事，大為惱火，把管宮門的官員辦了死罪。
　　又有一次，曹操派曹植帶兵出征。曹丕得到消息，事先送酒食去，跟曹植一起喝酒，讓曹植喝得酩酊大醉。正在這時候，曹操派人找曹植去，連催幾次，曹植還沒醒來。曹操只好把派曹植出征的事取消了。
　　打這以後，曹操就打消了把曹植立為太子的念頭。
　　曹丕做了魏王以後，仍舊忌恨曹植。這一回，就抓住機會把曹植抓起來，要處曹植死罪。
　　他母親卞太后知道了，著急得了不得，連忙在曹丕面前，給曹植求情，要他看在同胞兄弟份上，寬恕曹植。
　　曹丕不能不聽母親的話，再說，為了一點小事殺了兄弟，自己也不體面，就只把曹植的臨淄侯爵位撤了，降為一個比較低的爵位。
　　據說，曹丕把曹植召來以後，為了要懲罰他一下，要他在走完七步的時間裡做出一首詩。如果做得出，就免他一死。
　　曹植略略思索一下，就邁開步子，走一步，念一句，隨口就念出了一首詩：
　　煮豆燃豆萁，
　　豆在釜中泣。
　　本是同根生，
　　相煎何太急。
　　曹丕聽了，覺得自己對弟弟也逼得太狠，心裡感到慚愧，就免去曹植的死罪。
　　曹丕做了魏王，不像他父親那樣怕人家議論。就在這一年秋天，由他的親信聯名上書，勸漢獻帝讓位給魏王。
　　漢獻帝做了三十多年的掛名皇帝，接到大臣上書，就宣布讓位，改稱山陽公。曹丕的親信大臣還隆重舉行一個“推位讓國”的禪讓儀式，表示漢朝的皇權是獻帝自願讓的。
　　公元２２０年，曹丕稱帝，建立魏朝，就是魏文帝。到這時候，東漢王朝才正式結束。

OK Guys, it's NOT a suit. It's just the Lees trying to ask the court to interprete an agreement, according to AGC spokesman. Not that we know what's contentious about it....

"The Executors of the Estate of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew have filed an application to seek the Court’s guidance on the proper interpretation of an interview agreement between the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew and the Government. The agreement relates to the custody and use of certain interviews given by the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew to the Oral History Department. The Government will establish the proper interpretation and status of the agreement before the Court.” - AGC

You cannot say they "stole" when the people willing gave...as in HDB conveyance fees, CPF etc...WE WILLING GAVE, whether we are 70% or 30% WE WILLING GAVE...we are such generous people!! :mad:

AGC doesn't interprete the law ...it is the judge. So, how can AGC rule in favour of government?

imo he is one of the few impartial ones who will rule the land with his intepretation of the law then what others dictate to him.
