[h=1]PAP: Singapore has the cheapest public transport fares in the world[/h]admin / 22 hours ago August 25, 2015

On the ruling party People’s Action Party’s Facebook page, a photo to remind Singaporeans that they are paying one of the lowest fares in the world went viral. Titled “Keeping Transport Costs Affordable”, the photo compared public transport fares of different major cities.

Unfortunately, the PAP has published a half-truth because income and purchasing power are different in every country. The fares were denominated in Singapore dollars which does not factor in different transport models, wages and cost of living, and the affordability of private transport because unlike other countries, Singaporeans have no option of a private vehicle.

The intent of the PAP Facebook page is malicious and meant to mislead readers, especially Singaporeans who have never traveled or lived in the other major cities. In the past 50 years, ignorance and fear have been the major contribution factor to consolidate the PAP support. The decline in electoral support for the PAP in recent years happened because of an increase in exposure and knowledge from the internet, of which the Singapore government has introduced major censorship laws to curb its influence.

And we also have no beggars on the streets.
Our elderly even have time to exercise in the streets,
lifting cardboard for exercise.

This fight is not just your voting for opposition, any opposition against the PAP

Singaporeans must do much more than just relying on their single vote.

UNDER THE FUCKING PAP, SINKIES ARE 4TH CLASS CITIZENS IN THEIR OWN LAND STOLEN FROM THEM BY PAP
PAPs ARE THE 2ND CLASS CITIZENS WITH THE LEE FAMILY AS THE FIRST CLASS ARISTOCRAZIES

FTs ARE TAKEN IN AS THE 3RD CLASS CITIZENS KICKING SINKIES INTO 4TH CLASS AND SINKIES GOOD ONLY TO GO
HEAD DOWN DOWN AND ARSEHOLES UP HIGH HIGH TO BE FUCKED AND TIEWED BY PAPs LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THEIR BANKS.

YOU MUST CANVAS FOR THE OPPOSITION, ANY OPPOSITION , BY TALKING TO YOUR FRIENDS AND THOSE IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
UNITE ALL OF THEM TO VOTE OUT THE PAP AGAINST THEIR FUCKING FTs THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO PACK IN TO STEAL YOUR FUTURE AND YOUR CHILDREN FUTURE

TALK TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS , AND TO PEOPLE THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW
TELL THEM ALL TO TALK TO THEIR FRIENDS AND EVEN TO PEOPLE THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW

LET US REGAIN BACK OUR SINGAPORE FROM THE STINKAPORE THE PAPs ARE CREATING AT THE EXPENSE OF ALL OF US

STOP THE FUCKING PAPs FROM LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THEIR FUCKING BANKS AND BACK FROM THEIR FUCKING BANKS

This is why the PAP hates social media. Sooner or later, someone will call you out on your bullshit.

You could probably get away with such nonsense during the pre-Internet days.

How about comparing short trips? How much to even take a feeder bus to bring u to a bus interchange before you can take a trunk bus? This feeder cost should be added into the journey cost right?

And not sure about other countries named, some, if not most Australian cities, if you travel on Sunday, for example Sydney you only pay maximum $2.50, you can travel entire day and any number of trips on bus, train and/or ferry!
