The "free" buffet probably EXCEEDED the revised $4 per voter under new legislation allowable for candidate expenditure for the election. How come no queries, or must a private police report be lodged?

We had a great meal! We observed that the residents were very touched to be served by their MPs-to-be! Feedback from most residents was that they found the PAP politicians to be friendly, warm and humble. And as usual, they like to ask "where the fcuk is the opposition? Lepak as usual.'

extremely effective way to attract sinkies no matter where they are. when any sg-oriented event in the bay area requires a $10 registration fee, very few sinkies would show up. but when there's a "free" buffet, thousands would show up so much so that long lines would form and a near-riot would erupt for fear of losing out. didn't know the bay area was home to thousands of sinkies until a free-buffet event was organized. :biggrin:

Only this wasn't just like any other buffet where they just get the caterers to prepare the food and logistics and everyone would help themselves to the food.

couldn't agree more.....sure beats the $2 packet of chicken rice that kee chiu provided with the free transport during the previous hustings.
understand the opposition will adopt this strategy with $2 packet of nasi lemak when they introduce their candidates, and i'm pretty sure you and your clan will be there as well. please reduce, reuse and recycle - those styrofoam boxes will come in handy after you finish the nasi lemak :o
