Lunch at this Indonesian restaurant in Serpong

Best freshly made sambal

Fresh chili + white sugar + balacan + lime

Done very traditional way

(sorry photo blur)

Chicken satay chunky meat with peanut sauce and sweet sauce very nice

Wrapped mushroom

Kangkon balacan is very thin, soft yet crunchy think cannot be found in Singapore and Thailand

Gram bakar or Tilapia bbq

Sambal prawn

Beef rib soup, very rich beef taste

Back to Jakarta for a few days had a great and cheap seafood meal. Everything super fresh because the fish port is just a stone throw from the restaurant:

Front of the restaurant

Inside is full so got to have meal outside

Sweet boiled prawn

Brinjal with sambal

Bean sprout with salted fish

Small bamboo clams with tau-jiu

Grilled ikan kueh with green sambal

Live grouper with cumin sauce - the signature dish its a little like thai taste as its sour and delicious

Another highlight - crab grilled in banana leaves

Marinated with ginger and other herbs, very fragrant and tasty

This meal costs only 1.05mil IDR or S$100

Name of the restaurant Aroma Sop

Last night went to an open air street food place in north Jakarta

This is like our ngor hiang guan qiang

Pohpiah - Singapore's better, more moist inside this Jakarta version looks like ours but a little dry inside

Chap chai

Soto sapi - this is damn shiok like our mutton soup

Pork satay - very very delicious, meat is chunky and well marinated

Overall this street food was good but not cheap when compared to Bangkok's street food.

yes, all 3 sections of the colon are absorbent in whatever stays there. it's advisable to clear bowels frequently as constipated shit can be reabsorbed into organs and body and turn toxic.

Lunch at a Nasi Padang restaurant, this is not those traditional ones where every dish is served on your desk, you chose and they serve like our chap chye png. Owner is Chinese but no pork in restaurant still this is not halal however you still see muslims come to eat. Many Indonesian muslims are not so anal about the halal thing.

Highlight is their fried chicken, all made fresh when ordered.

Longtong cabbage curry
