In ancient times, it was a custom to parade POWs. They should have stripped him naked before parading the robbers at the scene of the crime. It would serve as a far strong deterrence than those silly life-size police posters on shoplifiting that we see outside many shops these days.
It is not wrong for the police to do this as part of their investigations....it is the idiots reporting it that is humiliating him...
btw, if he is still listed as a suspect and not found guilty yet does he have a case against the reporters for some civil damages? I'm not a lawyer, can the lawyers here comment....
