Hong Kong actress Elanne Kong made a surprising revelation recently, saying that she has never been paid for the ten years she has worked with management company, Universal International.
As reported on HK Channel, the actress who recently expressed her intention not to renew her contract with the agency when it expires in May, stated that she was supposed to earn around HKD 10 million (approx. USD 1.29 million) throughout the years but has not received any salary.
In regards to her own spending, Elanne said that she had to rely on her own family for a living. This was supported by a close friend, who revealed that Elanne is currently facing financial issues, but stayed with the agency because of her love of showbiz.
When asked about Universal International Chairman, Daneil Lam's statement saying that she borrowed HKD 500,000 (USD 64,483) from the company last year, Elanne said that it was Daneil who suggested the loan so that her family won't worry about her
