The debate is over, they withdrew their application.. and if you read carefully in ST report, it did state police as stating reasons too.

FYI, Ngee Ann City, Civic Plaza IS a public setting, as it is open for all to see (unless they set up tentages or cordon off the entire area). Plus, imagine the number of pinoys going there on THAT day.. do you think our mrt can handle the added "strain"? Imagine the crowd of people THERE.. causing inconvenience to EVERYONE, just so THEY can celebrate their very own independence day?
