ARMED policeman - asset or liability

my opinion is that the ordinary policemen cannot act on his own
he needs authorisation or permission to carry out certain task
else worry that he will be taken to task
this is probably how they were trained
and as such they do not have the ability to act although knowing that it needs to be done

must wait for orders ..

Sinkie Poodles are equally useless with or without guns...

Around 15 years ago 2 Poodles were out on patrol when they checked on a man who turned out to be a druggie.. There was a struggle and druggie managed to snatched a revolver belonging to one of the Poodle and shot him on the leg before running away..

He then seek refuge at his sister's flat in Chai Chee.. Next day Poodles STAR team tried to storm the flat.. But druggie refused to surrender and killed himself with the revolver..

After the incident, MHA stopped using the old leather police belts and holsters.. They then issued their officers the anti snatch duty holster and new police belts to complement the new holsters..
