Infamous psychotic murderer Ong Kah Chua, who tried to murder MP Seng Han Thong by trying to burn him alive is now locked up in IMH. Let's hope IMH will put him in a strait-jacket, locked him up and throw away the keys.
Singapore will be a safer place without retards like Ong.

Man who allegedly set MP on fire sent back to IMHBy Dominique Loh, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 23 January 2009 1442 hrs

SINGAPORE: The man who allegedly set Yio Chu Kang Member of Parliament (MP) Seng Han Thong on fire has been remanded at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) for another two weeks.

Ong Kah Chua was at the Subordinate Courts early Friday to have his case heard, but did not enter any plea when the judge asked if he wanted to plead guilty.

Instead, he requested for a medical examination citing intestinal pain.

If the former cab driver is found guilty, he could be facing life in prison. His case will be mentioned in court on February 6.

Meanwhile, the family of Mr Seng said he is out of intensive care and is progressing well.

In a statement released on Friday, Mr Seng’s family said the MP is alert and is able to feed himself slowly. He has also started therapy.

As part of his hand therapy, he is practising his handwriting and has begun signing his self-made Lunar New Year greeting cards for the doctors and nurses who have been taking care of him, as well as his friends.

His family said he is expected to continue treatment and rehabilitation therapy in hospital beyond the Lunar New Year.
