The breakdown is reminiscent of last season's EPL finale fiasco, when the television images froze during the title-deciding matches that featured Manchester City and Manchester United.

SINGAPORE football fans are fuming over yet another service breakdown by SingTel's mio TV during Wednesday morning's crucial English Premier League (EPL) match between Arsenal and Wigan.

Many complained that they could not get their set-top boxes to start up ahead of the 2.45am kick-off.

SingTel has issued an apology to those who were affected.

A spokesman said: "At about 1am this morning, less than 5,000 of our BPL customers experienced difficulty viewing their mio TV content after they switched on the power to their set-top boxes. Most customers had no issue as their boxes were already on standby mode.

MDA should hand the full rights back to StarHub on the basis of incompetent management by Singtel. This is not the first time they've f**ked up.

That's why people shouldn't give their money to Singtel, whether it be by subscribing to its services or purchasing its shares.

Still a fucked up Familee crony-run company, overpriced and shoddy quality. Nothing has changed.

Cyclists are dopers

[h=3]French hair tests allegedly show 1 in 5 soccer players with evidence of steroids[/h]A release from the AFLD -- the French doping control agency -- says that most of the positive tests show DHEA. However, the hair samples hold no legal power in France. Which makes it weird Lance Armstrong submitted to hair analysis.
Random tests on the hair of professional French football players, has revealed that there is frequent use of illegal, muscle-building steroids in the French game.

Of the footballers tested, results proved that one in five showed signs of having used banned steroids – mostly the anti-ageing hormone DHEA. Drug tests on hair samples have no legal basis in French law and are not implemented by sports governing bodies but the French anti-drugs agency believes that its "hair opinion poll" points to a submerged culture of drug-taking in football.

Pierre Bordry, the president of the Agence Française de Lutte contre le Dopage (AFLD) said: "Here is the proof that doping is not just something that happens in cycling."

Of the 32 professional footballers playing in the French First and Second divisions who were tested, out of 138 sportsmen, seven showed clear signs of having used steroids. The 21.8 per cent "hit" rate was the highest in any sport tested.

The anti-doping agency confirmed that it has no plans to reveal the names of the players who tested positive or to pass individual results to clubs or sports bodies.

not surprising that the footballers took drugs. otherwise how to endure 90 minutes of constant running or chasing the ball?
