What urine? If you have never stepped into China, you will regret for a thousand years...The West Lake in Hangzhou is one spectacular lake - one of the world's most beautiful lakes...Missed it at your own regrets..The West Lake offers picture postcard-esque Chinese vistas ( tea-growing hills, trees, flowers, pagodas, pavilions, old fishing boats). And beautiful Hangzhou girls with their snow white skin and eternal smooth skin and beauty....China is NO URINE.....

In ancient times Suzhou, Hangzhou and nearby Yangzhou were known for their beautiful and accomplished courtesans. It does these women no justice to call them "prostitutes". Ancient Chinese courtesans were cultured and talented, known for far more than their beauty alone, and under the patronage of the emperors these cities became home to a very unique and special gene pool.

Wives and daughters of wealthy and powerful men could not leave home or show their educational accomplishments in public without disgracing themselves. When traveling or entertaining, men instead sought out the company of courtesans. Ancient Chinese courtesans could discuss history and literature, play music, paint, write poetry, even play Chinese chess. Some were drawn to the area by opportunity, others through lack of any other choice, but freed from the restraints binding other women and allowed to shine, many of these fabulous ladies soared to great heights in ancient Chinese society.

Although love making was certainly part of their repertoire, it was not dispensed easily or to just anyone. Their patrons were the richest merchants and highest-ranking officials, and their relationships with these men could become quite complex. Some even gained the favor of the emperor himself.

Beauty and Talent Eternal

In Suzhou today, even the daughters of average middle-class Suzhou families are known for their beauty and intelligence. Their skin is smooth, their bodies soft and slender, their eyes bright, their eyebrows slim and their noses straight. They speak softly and melodiously as sweet birdsong. Their talents and abilities show not only good breeding but also a strong culture of education and refinement. Clearly Suzhou's cultural environment is still producing outstanding beauties.

In Hangzhou, not to be outdone, official studies have been performed to prove and identify the source of their native daughters' eternal beauty. In 2004, doctors at the Hangzhou Facial Surgery Hospital studied the faces of Hangzhou beauties, and concluded that women from this region typically have oval faces. Oval faces are considered the most charming and enchanting by the people of East Asia.

Rich and Fertile Ground

Today as in ancient times Suhang weather is warm and rainy, which they say allows the women there to keep their skin smooth and pale. Long a rich and fertile agricultural region, the area is now also a center of the electronics industry and so continues to attract many successful people. And after so many centuries of attracting the beautiful and talented women of China, the influence of heredity here is obvious to anyone's eye. Suzhou and Hangzhou continue to thrive economically and culturally, and attracting the wealthy, the powerful, the famous and the beautiful. The future of Suhang is looking beautiful indeed.

if you have not been to Huangshan in China, you have not seen the best of mountains...it is nature's grand masterpiece. the sunrise and the sunset are nature's great design...the clouds are like seas and oceans...the mountain landscape is like a massive calligraphy of geological wonders....Huangshan in China is a MUST.....the most beautiful mountain under heaven....

Yellow Mountain, also known as Huangshan, is located in the southern part of Anhui Province. It is undoubtedly China’s most celebrated mountain for all its grandeur and beauty. In 1990 Yellow Mountain was declared a World Natural and Cultural Heritage by UNESCO Heritage Committee. Within an area of 154 square kilometers, the mountain offers a crowd of peaks. 72 of them have names indicating the shapes they resemble. Lotus, Brightness Apex and Celestial Capital are the three major ones, all rising above 1,800 meters. The mountains are a body of granite, often with vertical joints. When it is cloudy the pinnacles loom in mists as if they were illusionary. When the sun shines, they unfold in all their majesty and splendor. From ancient times Huangshan has been frequented by tourists seeking its mystery and admiring its unique scenery. They come to the conclusion that the fantastic pines, the grotesque rocks, the sea of clouds and the hot springs are the four major attractions of this remarkable Yellow Mountain......

Re: The Tiger Leaping Gorge Of Lijiang,China....

you don't appreciate history and civilization:smile:

After the RED revolution, is there still history and civilization in PRC? There is total disregard for "history and civilization" unless it suits the CCP and the wallet$.

A mainland KMT ROC Taiwanese was ridiculing the distortion of Chinese history by the local guide during my tour. Dinner time was always interesting with him around. He know Chinese history better than the guide and the guide cannot answer his questions.

The problem with China is still central planning with disregard to safety. Elderly people fell down during the tour because of lack of safety in design.
Hotels look 5-stars externally, but there is always something missing or wrongly patched up somewhere.

When news is censored, you get strange incidents like 15000 bloated dead pigs floating towards modern Shanghai.

China needs reforms but they are only interested in band-aids. Milk powder problems not solved, property bubbles not fixed even when the govt has absolute power!

Lucky, southern China is showing signs of change.

the roads are much safer now
but they are still very dangerous
flirting with death at every corner turn
many major mishaps had happened
many deaths unreported
you can now fly
yes, the jet go between two mountains
also very risky - but magnificient!!!

A cultural show demonstrating the traditions and lifestyles of the Naxi, Yi and Bai peoples of the area.

According to Li Hui and many other chinese scholars, Miao, Han, and Tibetan split from DNA marker M134 and share DNA marker M122 ,and Miao is the closest group to sino-tibetan. Li Hui stated that Chiyou and Yandi are from the same tribe and that Yandi was originally ox totem as Chiyou, and it was only later that he changed it to dragon totem as Huangdi tribe. Li Hui and other chinese scholars also said that Chiyou descended from Shennong or Yandi and that the later Qiangic and Miao people of Yandi and Chiyou both made up Sanmaio Kingdom. My question is, if Yandi and Chiyou are from the same tribe then is it possible that Chiyou's Miao tribe was once part of Yandi's Qiangic tribe and later split from Qiangic tribe under the leadership of Chiyou?

They are into Sun worship. They use the ox horns for the headdress. Did the Japs copied their culture and belief ?

Pudacuo National Park...The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the wide green pastures....beautiful, peaceful and serene......

The James Hilton novel Lost Horizon has wonderfully uncovered the mystique of this Himalayan paradise to the world, capturing people 's imagination while stirring up their inner desires for peace and tranquility. While not quite the mythical Himalayan utopia Hilton portrayed it as, Shangri-La is a "heaven on earth" in its own right, a happy land, isolated from the troubles of outside world while seemingly insulated from the passing of time. Beautiful lakes and majestic Tibetan Lamaseries are common throughout Shangri-La. But even greater discoveries await. The Haba Snow Mountain and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain both tower into the sky and attract tens of thousands annually. Baishuitai Terrace is a representative of yet another type of scenery you can visit. Riding on horseback or cycling along the lakes of Pudacuo National Park can take you even closer to nature, allowing you to see the microcosms of life and feel you are even part of the surrounding environment. As wonderful as the scenery is, the area has its fair share of man-made beauty as well including the elaborate Songzanlin Monastery and Feilai Temple where is the best place to appreciate holy Meili Snow Mountain.
