FLORIDA: US wrestler Hulk Hogan on Monday sued his former best friend, radio host Bubba "The Love Sponge" Clem, and his ex-wife Heather Clem, for secretly videotaping him having consensual sex with her in Clem's home, reported US media.
"Mr Hogan had a reasonable expectation of his privacy, just as all Americans have a reasonable expectation of their privacy in their bedrooms," said Hogan's lawyer Charles Harder, when he met the media on Monday.
He went on to describe Clem's alleged actions as "illegal", "outrageous" and to have "exceeded the bounds of human decency".
Hogan, sporting his signature bandanna, had a somber expression on his face and remained silent throughout Harder's address to the media.
In response to Hogan's allegations, Bubba Clem, whose real name is Todd Clem, said Tuesday that he did not leak the sex video, which has been circulating on the Internet for about two weeks now.
Clem also claimed that he, his ex-wife and Hogan, who was married at the time, had all agreed to this 'wife-sharing' arrangement.
He insisted that Hogan knew about all the surveillance cameras he had placed in his home, and understood he was being videotaped in the act, pointing out that Hogan should instead focus on finding out who leaked the video.
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, had also filed a lawsuit against a US website for posting excerpts of the video, to obtain financial profit at his expense.
The 59-year-old wrestling legend is seeking a whopping US$100 million (S$121.8 million) in damages from the website, along with ownership of all copies of the video, so he could destroy them.
