Teo Soh Lung of Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) claimed that the JI terrorists are "political exiles" and should be released. Which political party does both "political exiles" belong to? SDP perhaps?

Husaini Ismail, was involved in a plot by JI leader Mas Selamat to crash a plane into Changi Airport in 2002. Both men, who are Singaporeans, had undergone training in Afghanistan with the Al-Qaeda terrorist organisation in 1999 and 2000, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said yesterday. "They had also been actively involved in reconnoitring several potential local and foreign targets in Singapore for the purpose of a terrorist attack," it said.

Both men did not choose to "return home". They were arrested overseas and deported to Singapore. Husaini was arrested and jailed in Indonesia in June 2009 for breaking immigration laws, and deported to Singapore after being released in May this year. Abd Rahim Abdul Rahman, was arrested in Malaysia in February and deported.

For the record:
"It is clear that if Abd Rahim and Husaini had not fled Singapore in Dec 2001, they would have been arrested and may still be in prison today. They fled and became political exiles but chose to return home after 10 years. Their arrests serves as a reminder to all political exiles that returning to Singapore may cost them their freedom no matter how long their exile is." -- Teo Soh Lung, SDP

would be better for them to seek u.s. military tribunal extradition and apply for a transfer to gitmo. after some years in limbo, they may end up like former uighur inmates in the bahamas. and hefty pocket money is provided at taxpayers' expense.

She is absolutely right.

These JI members should be exiled to other countries and given the freedom - the freedom to bomb the daylight out of anybody, including their fellow countrymen and women. If SDP fluked an MP into parliament, they could exile more people in addition to clamouring for more basic human rights.

They - and she - can then be like a Juliet Chin and join the Malayan National Liberation Front, or MORO Islamic Liberation Front and wage a war against US imperialist and other capitalists or Satanists. She should be happy Tan Wah Piow stays where he is because he has a lot of freedom in angmoh country - with live weekend EPL matches for entertainment.

Why did Teo Soh Lung bother to return to Singapore? Because getting into parliament would mean getting high ministerial salary, or getting more clienteles in court is more profitable? She should join fellow lawyer Francis Seow in another angmoh country - more freedom. Leave us in peace.
