To respect his new title. we should call him Dr DoNothing from now onwards in view of the nothings he has done during his tenure.

Do for Singapore?

Well, he might burn the public incinerator at Mandai Columbarium upon being cremated with all the excess fats and oil within him!

It actually happened in Austria.

Dead obese woman had so much body fat she set the building on fire during her cremation

Firemen whose clothing was left covered with a layer of sooty grease were snapped as they tackled the difficult to extinguish blaze in special breathing gear to avoid inhaling the fumes

Ex-president
Nathan awarded honorary doctorate from NUS

Former
president S R Nathan was among the 260 graduates at a National University of
Singapore's (NUS) commencement ceremony on Thursday.

He
received an Honorary Doctor of Letters from NUS Chancellor Tony Tan Keng
Yam.

In
his speech, NUS president Tan Chorh Chuan paid tribute to Mr Nathan's
'dedication to service' as the longest-serving president of the Republic and a
top civil servant.

The
NUS president also announced that the university will start a professorship in
social work named after Mr Nathan, in honour of his contributions to Singapore
and to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Social Work Department.

He has suffered Permanent Head Damage after serving PAP for decades. The award is meant just that and same goes to those who stepped down from long serving civil servant. Who's next?

Nothing to do with permanent head damage. Reliable sources told me PrataMan considering a career in Pizza Hut Delivery.

I think it would have been more classy of N to simply decline the honor on the basis that being president was honor and privilege enough. These guys are really tone deaf. N was never elected. He was not popular. "longest serving" does not mean much in this case. Exactly what was he putting on hold so he could serve as president ? This is more like mocking the peasants.

I think after receiving so much criticism of his high salary while as President, the least mention of his presidency the better for him. Let there be this one honorary thing and then let the poor chap retire in peace.
