61 year-old ‘maneater’ arrested for stealing from 75-year-old man

A 61 year-old “maneater” has been arrested for touching-and-hugging a 75-year-old man, and making off with $2,200.
Her hug-and-steal tactics are not new.
In a separate incident, a 53 year-old woman was jailed for stealing from men after getting close to them. After her release in October 2010, she committed the same offence in May 2011, stealing $4,000 from 11 men between the ages of 60-84.
The 61 year-old has since been arrested for theft and faces three years in jail, or a fine, or both.
According to a Straits Times report, the incident occurred on 17 June at Block 335 on Smith Street, in the Chinatown district.
Dressed in skimpy clothing, she approached an old man to help her write down a telephone number. While he was doing so, she begin to hug and touch him. The old man quickly pushed her away, but by then the woman had already made off with his wallet containing $2,200 in cash.
The police said that the old man only discovered that his wallet was missing when he went home.
The reporter who visited the scene reportedly saw a foreign lady dressed in revealing clothes. Speaking to a 60 year-old clothing vendor known only as Mr Wu, he said the lady appeared about one month ago and asked him for directions.
The conversation occurred during a busy time of the day and he thought something was amiss, so he left quickly. He added that he had already heard rumours about women asking for directions, then offering “special services”.
Another 60 year-old pot vendor also known as Mr Wu said he believes the woman would lure men to a deserted area before making her moves.
