Another body has been found at an outdoor area of the Marina Bay Sands (MBS).

The Straits Times reported that the body was found on Wednesday night near the Rise restaurant in the hotel lobby, located on the ground floor.

According to the paper, it is not known whether the body was of a man or a woman.

The police arrived at MBS at about 9.05pm according to the account of a hotel guest. ST reported that they went to the outdoor area and shone their torchlights around.

MBS staff members were also seen bringing out white canvas sheets, presumably to cover the body.

This is the second body found at the integrated resort (IR) this month. On the afternoon of June 12, the body of a German tourist was found near the foot of one of the three towers at MBS.

He is believed to have fallen from the IR's SkyPark, which is about 200m - or 56 storeys - above ground level.

According to an MBS spokesman, the man was not a hotel guest, and had only paid to gain access to the SkyPark. The observation deck is open to the public for a fee of $20 for adults.

Both cases are currently under investigation.

Body found outside Marina Bay Sands hotel lobby

Just a week after a dead body was found at the foot of Marina Bay Sands' Sky Park, another one has been found -- this time at an outdoor area of the hotel.

A police spokesman said that they received a call around 9 pm on Wednesday evening informing them that a body had been found at Marina Bay Sands hotel.

The 32-year-old Indonesian man was pronounced dead on the spot, and police are investigating it as an unnatural death.

Local media reported that a body was found outside the Rise lobby restaurant on the ground floor. MBS confirmed the incident in a statement issued to the media later.

The Straits Times reported that the man is believed to have fallen from the 52nd floor of MBS Tower Two, and his body had broken into several parts due to the force of the fall and the curved design of the building.

As a result, his legs are believed to have been found lying 10 m apart on the ground, and parts of his body were discovered from the 18th floor of the building downwards, making identification of his gender difficult initially.

Twenty-two year old national serviceman Marcus Ong, who was present at the MBS hotel, told Yahoo! Singapore that he saw police officers around the lobby and on the 4th and 5th floors at 1:15am. The body had been cleared by that time.

Just last week, a tourist is believed to have fallen from the 56-storey Sky Park.

Meaning the body split on impact at a higher level, then the body parts SLIDE to ground level.......so actually the guy didn't free fall 52 stories.

Me think they will have to keep cleaning windows of certain levels of the hotel.....due to the curve design of the building. Anybody jump, sure to hit the windows of those levels.

Next time trying it in a sitting position on a rainy day, maybe like bigsplash, one may actually survive due to the curved design of the building:biggrin:

Touts for undertakers shouLd take note of this Location now..

2 years back while watching a World Cup game at the Jalan Besar stadium kopitiam with this Thai gal, I saw a group of Tong Aik staff walking to this empty table near to the koptiam's TV set.. It was a big game that nite.. A group of punters were busy cheering on Brazil when they stopped their loud cheering momentarily after seeing these Tong Aik boys with their dark blue Tong Aik shirts sitting besides their table.. They then quickly moved away from their table and went to the other side of the kopitiam where there's another TV set.. After that, more people went to the other side of the kopitiam leaving me and only few others remaining seated at our tables watching the game with the Tong Aik boys..

Not true lah. Cases from one's perspective may be "gory", from another person's perspective it may be just "normal". You got go market buy pieces of meat and intestines before or not?
