[h=2]SMRT trains delayed this morning along East-West line for 20 minutes due to ‘train fault’[/h]Posted by temasektimes on April 26, 2012
Less than a week after a LRT train was stalled between Bukit Panjang and Senja LRT stations, train services were disrupted again at around 10am this morning affecting thousands of commuters.
SMRT trains running along the East-West line from Pasir Ris to Joo Koon were delayed for up to 20 minutes due to ‘train fault’, causing angry commuters to post on Twitter to vent their anger and frustrations:
“The Thursday morning that started great till <S>#</S>smrt decides to be dumb and terminate the train part way! Like really! What the heck..” – Callie
“I hate <S>#</S>smrt. 3 minutes? More like 10. Literally. Every morning there’s a glitch. Wtf is going on. Epically late again.” – Majorie Yeo
Another ‘minor’ disruption occurred two hours earlier when passengers in a packed train were asked to alight at Jurong East MRT station for no good reason causing congestion to an already packed station.
As usual, there are no news reports on the latest train disruptions except occasional updates on the Twitter of Channel News Asia. Neither did SMRT bother to explain to the public the reasons behind the disruptions which are happening on an alarmingly high frequency.

With train disruptions getting so common I won't be surprised when the radio stations start reporting on train disruptions like they do on traffic conditions:rolleyes:

Wait for the big big one. You cannot keep going on daily having such stops without seriously damaging the tracks and the system. The tracks are really being grinded to bits. Then 900 million will become 3 billion. You should add up all the profits Saw was claimed to have made and set it back with the losses to become very apparent soon. You will be able to work out that being slightly red for maintenance purposes on the operating profit is better than this net profit red of a terrible level. I guess somebody needs to ask the PM who recommended Saw for the job wholeheartedly.

It's an honest mistake, let's move on!!

"If there are no disrutptions, breakdowns, I worry " "No Porn" Lui Tranpsort Ministar. When the joker new on the job, the "new broom sweep clean" syndrome kicked it. The guillble 60% bought the 'koyot' display of him travelling on the trains with a copy of MY PAPer, checking out of breakdowns, disruptions by appearing on site. After a while, the paid apperances begin to wear thin, and we get to hear from him " breakdowns etc..are unaviodable", then providence kicked him in the rear & immediately there was breakdown & dreakdown. Then, the 'koyot man' once again started the 'koyot sale call", the breakdowns cannot do...the_______(fill in the blanks) must do something about it.

Then we get to read they spending many millions to upgrade the train systems?? why wasn't that money spent doing that to upgrade the system, fortunately for SINgapore, providence was kind, the major breakdown that spur these & SAW off the 'sedan chari cleo" didn't involve any deaths.

So, we are back to the 'koyot' ( Chinese medicine) show!!..enjoy, it is rated PG , no pornography involved, the only thing dirty is that the 60% enjoyed being screwed.:p

PAP supporters are always boasting that Spore's excellent infrastructure is due to PAP's hard work:eek:.
It's more likely that the PAP is responsible for waste :(

I've always wondered about the inefficient way money is being squandered in Spore. You can see the waste: guard rails to prevent free flow movement, signs at every junction warning that jaywalking is illegal, traffic lights popping up like mushrooms, poor designed roads which must be widened to improve traffic flow, etc Much of this work is really un-necesary & is adding to the cost to Sporeans & if more questions had been raised it would have saved taxpayers $$$$.

Now we see unforeseen problem like these breakdowns. Even if the PAP spent billions of taxpayers $$$$$ on fixes, the source of the problem(mismanagement) would still be there. The only solution is to get more eyes into parliament. You can't let an old man & his family have a monopoly on power. Otherwise you would have the mess that exists in Spore: ponding, MRT breakdowns, over crowding by foreigners, ..........

Did anyone notice an increasing number of women riding bike?
Maybe to mitigate the unreliable bus rides, frequent MRT breakdowns, inhaling others sweat & fart, risk of being molested, etc, etc.....
