Business hotel not come cheap, New World costs usd135++ for standard. Kena persuaded by chio reception gal to upgrade to executive floor +35 (with lounge etc). Yo, need local fix.

Brekkie with pho beef, liked their mini glass dumplings. Another day view from lounge terrace
was sick of the place and food after 2 hours of reaching...hotel definitely the best of the lot, but their 5 star is our 3 star

They recently increase the price. It's THB 80 for this one and used to be THB 73. Think price is reasonable considering the 24 hour convenience and freshness Foodland offer it's customers.

I don't like his face.

Bro, he learned his stuff from Taiwan leh.

Singapore (Syndacast), December 24 2009 -- DBS Dialogues, a website supported by DBS Bank, provides essential, timely advice from successful business leaders to help entrepreneurs in Singapore and across Asia. George Quek, founder of BreadTalk and other well-known restaurant ventures such as Food Republic, Toast Box and Din Tai Fung, shared his experiences and insights on how to take businesses to the next level.

While studying in Taiwan, George entered the food and beverage industry with limited know-how and learnt how to build up a business the hard way. Today, George is opening new BreadTalk outlets almost every day in Bahrain, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other cities in China.

The secret to BreadTalk's success? "We have always been hardworking," George says. "For an enterprise to grow big, you need a strong and committed team. No other factors are more crucial than this."

“I've had DBS as a business partner since 1997. After I started my first BreadTalk shop in China in 2003, we needed to build a factory to support the business. It was hard as the investment was huge. But DBS came in as the first bank to support my new venture in China. We've never looked back since.”

Having a reliable team of employees and partners is also crucial to the company's rapid expansion. As a leader, George needs to be able to empower his managers to drive decisions themselves. "You can't just send someone overseas without empowering them. The market in China, for example, is so much bigger than Singapore's, so the manager that we send there has to be empowered to deal with that kind of scale."

Unfortunately, if I support him, I will also be supporting the Kangaroo Court. If I am drunk and ramp my japanese car into a police car, what do you think will happen to me? Obviously, he is part of the establishment.

thow rai thow rai ? My impression of Foodland breakast is expensive.

Yes its expensive (double) if compare to road side. But then its aircon and 24hrs and most important its clean and all ingredients you can see from their own supermarket,

And also have to support Sinkees in LOS a little bit. Foodland are co-own by Sinkees.

I thought Taiwanese?

Then you should support BreadTalk....very Sinkie too

Also more importantly, I never believe in working hard to be successful. Have worked hard for half my life and got nowhere. It's all luck.
