Been MIA for a loooong while. When's your next sojourn? :p

Early June - going to Hua Hin. Less than you of course but I'm in TH 4x-6x a year. Last trip was in Feb - went to Phuket.

I've been reading sporadically off and on especially your posts. Thank you so much for keeping the flag flying while our friend was away.
If you are around in BKK early June then let's go makan.

HHin is a laid back place, nice and easy to get around minus the traffic. Do the Cicada night market (weekends only), way better than the usual night market downtown. The new Blueport mall is good, a refreshing change from Villa market.

And I usuallly pop by the Kraeng Kachan national park.

If I take a ferry from Pattaya to Hua Hin, where exactly is the pier at Hua Hin ? Is it near to any shopping areas ? I hope to book a hotel near the pier so that it'll be easy for me to get back to Pattaya.

Search me, but seems from latest grapevine it's not working or recommended.

You might want to catch up with this ferry services reseller:

As for logistics, believe they will drop you off at some main points. Example the landmark clock tower place at Petkasem road.
HHin's a small place, within easy short distance to the 2 main malls (Villa and BluePort)

Finally the details and prices for the Pattaya to Hua Hin ferry service have been announced.

The service officially launches on 12th January 2017, and will operate from the Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya to Saphan Pla ( the main port in the centre of Hua Hin).

The Pattaya-Hua Hin ferry service is part of the Thai government's East-West Ferry Project, which aims to boost tourism between Chonburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan.

For those who've been to Hua Hin in recent times, you'll know that Saphan Pla has recently undergone renovation and is in a much better state than it was a couple of years back. Decrepit is one word I would have used.

This service is being launched following a crackdown on business owners who had set up illegally on the beach at Saphan Pla. On the other side of the water, officials in Pattaya removed speed boats that had operated in Bali Hai Pier for more than a decade.

seems that sinkie girls are hooking up with thai guys i am sure she chased after him but he's a big fish literally so to speak the son of a billionaire.

His name is jerry and he looks Chinese obviously.

The question is why a sinkie girl?

Info i have about her is she used to work for jianhao a sinkie youtube sensation so she's not really up there in terms of family wealth prestige compared to the thai guy.

She's living in london with him.
