Hookers try new tactics in Chinatown

Hookers in Chinatown now hunt for men by entering shops and pretending to be customers.
A netizen recently revealed that the hookers are becoming a headache for shop owners in Chinatown as they often loiter in the shops but do not buy anything.
According to the netizen, shop owners in the area have taken to putting up signs like "Once broken considered sold" and "Please do not touch if you're not buying" to warn these hookers off.
Reporters visited Chinatown to speak to shop owners and find out more about the situation.
Souvenir shop owner Mr Luo (age 50s), explained to reporters that the signs are not targeted at hookers but a reminder to all customers.
Another shop owner Mdm Ding (age 40s) describes the hookers, "They are always looking around. Once they see a man, especially older men, the hookers will approach them."
Mdm Ding says she can pick out the hookers with one look but will leave them be as long as they don't cause trouble.
Sources say that hookers are more rampant in Chinatown these days, especially on weekends and holidays.
The women are between 20 to 40 years old, and are often in decent clothing but think makeup. They don't reveal too much flesh so that they are not obvious to enforcement officers.
Many shop owners agree that there are more hookers in the area in recent times but all say they will leave them be unless the women make trouble in their shop.
