Woman arrested for trying to bribe police officers

SINGAPORE: A 30-year-old woman who was arrested for suspected involvement in vice-related activities thought she could get away by bribing two women police officers.
The incident took place at about 11pm last Friday.
The officers were conducting anti-vice operations at Lorong 24 Geylang, where the woman was arrested.
She then offered S$150 to the officers to let her go.
She was turned down and then arrested for attempted bribery.
Police investigations are ongoing.
The charge of attempted bribery has also been referred to the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB).
