Intent of VEP is to capture O/S summons at the customs, but of course, after GE, one cant rule out that an additional charge will be imposed. There's no news about any add charge at all, other than RM 25 for 5 years, so let's just enjoy the cheap tolls for now till things change.

Just apply MACS for both, and tell the official that you are temporarily taking care of old Malaysian relatives, when questioned.... With MACS, it's v rare to be questioned.

Yes prices are up, but restaurant food is still cheaper than comparables in Bangkok and Jakarta. Overall, prices have not.risen as fast as the currency depreciation, so overall we are still better off than before, esp if RM continues to fall.

    Exchange Rates for RM

Just compared Instarem's rates with a few other online remittance companies eg WorldRemit, Transferwise, and Instarem's rates are still the best. There's also first transfer bonus ($6 or $10 depending on promo codes) and referral bonus ($20). With its thin spread, I have no idea how it intends...

    Exchange Rates for RM

Just completed my first remittance with Instarem. So far, it's quite good, and the rates kill the moneychangers in situations where the ringgit is falling. I will be careful though not to remit the big amounts......

I mean with InstaReM, not DBS whose rate is only so-so. Seems that InstaReM is quite fast, with favourable rates. But the registration process is a bit more cumbersome.

Not sure how long it takes to remit money from SG bank to MY bank. Registration procedures also seem rather tedious. My account is pending approval for now.

Big investments yes, but you cant please the opposition locals. They will say Najib is selling the country to China and Saudi Arabia for peanuts.

Many shops open and close in Ion too, does that mean Ion cant make it too? It's all about having a strong brand, strong product. Out goes the weak, in comes the strong. Btw City Square easily ranks among the top 5 malls in Malaysia (including KL malls) for retail & F&B.

Actually there are more active Malaysians than Singaporeans in this forum. 1 group hopes to sell high to Singaporeans, while the other waits for years for durians to drop........hahaha
