I think it is good to weed out speculators...those who buy plenty property without coming out much capital, and then hoping that they can flip before they need to pay the bulk. Remove these to prevent property crash in future. Anyway, I feel the RGPT not very hurting for those real investors...

The impression I get is that a so-called 'converted' Bumi-lot is not exactly the same as an original non-bumi lot. But since it's mentioned somewhere that someone had confirmed with the lawyers that such converted lot can be re-sold to foreigners, then I think should be ok lah. Just that for...

Yes, I'm referring to the foreigner owner selling the bumi-unit after the purchase from developer. I think it's not the same compared to a foreigner selling a non-bumi unit to foreigners. But like what malpaso said, I guess it can be done but need more approvals and maybe more costs.

Seriously, where did you get this piece of news ? This would be HUGE impact to resale value of properties in Iskandar. I only know Bumi Lot (even reopened Bumi lot) cannot be resold to foreigners.... But if you buy International Lot, then it should be ok mah ? You mean they change rule already ?

Actually, at perimeter good mah. Robber/burglar would target houses at inside lanes (touch wood) where nobody can see...rather than at the perimeter where it's so open. Also have more open space in front of house...instead of staring at neighbour's house.

If RTS station in Kempas, I think you still need to find a means to travel to the station. Would it improve traffic ? I think in general it should if people decides to take MRT to/fro Sg daily to work. To enjoy JB, I think one should really drive.

AS you exit JB CIQ and up the slope, keep left lane and follow the sign to KL. This is the EDL highway which leads you to "Utara-Selatan highway" which is commonly known as North-South highway. It's highway all the way from CIQ until you exit to Setia Tropika. You can go back to CIQ using...

Yes, phase 1 fully booked except for some bigger units. I understand phase 2 starts from ~RM700+k for the 22x80 Mahogany Terrace (2100sf built up). This development is strata-titled with clubhouse.

[Poll] Your Plans about Buying JB Property & Living in JB

I cannot...or dunno how to edit the poll question at the top leh. But my first post indicates that Option 4 is for renting out (or as weekend home) till retire age when you retire there. Maybe one option I didn't include is when one only uses it as a weekend home and never intending to live in...

[Poll] Your Plans about Buying JB Property & Living in JB

That is actually Option 4. Staying there only during weekends does not fall under the definition of 'living there' in this context. Maybe option 1-3 is applicable if one is (or going to be) considered a Malaysian resident (i.e. staying there more than 182 days per year).

We can buy gold ETF just like buying stock from singapore exchange. I prefer this than physically buying the gold. I think good to keep like 5-10% of total portfolio in gold.
