I agree. If the words of the agents can be believed, Malaysians form the main bulk of buyers for Meridin, Astaka and even the recent Markers (commercial).

During booking, I was given a list of 10 to 11 banks to choose from. Not sure if all of them are officially in the panel already. Regardless, I have since applied with both HSBC and CIMB.
