Country garden @ Danga Bay is Launching Soon

I agree with you. Hindsight is always 20/20. When The Sails was first launched at $1300+psf (it might have been cheaper), people were calling the buyers crazy. Same went for those who bought $350k HDB flats at Pinnacles@Duxton. My personal experience, and loss, was that I was fearful to buy...

Country garden @ Danga Bay is Launching Soon

Firstly, I question the accuracy of this Bernama article. Last weekend, it was reported that more than half, or 5000+ units were sold. All in a few days, the number had increased to more than 8000? Also, CG had reduced the number of units to 9000 since Jun, I think. The report still states 10000...

But this is a township. CG is one single condo. It's like building Sengkang Central as compared to Compass Heights. :)

Meridin at Medini and Astaka Project in Iskandar - any good?

On Astaka's choice of materials, do note on the brochure states ceramic and homogenous tiles to be used in the common bathrooms. I don't see that as being better than Sg standards. As for the statement on "stupid Singaporeans", I take offense to that. As one of those who bought Meridin, I am...

Meridin at Medini and Astaka Project in Iskandar - any good?

I agree. If the words of the agents can be believed, Malaysians form the main bulk of buyers for Meridin, Astaka and even the recent Markers (commercial).

Same with HSBC and RHB. HSBC wanted every single of my existing loan to be declared, as well as requested to show all my bank transactions. The bank transactions, to me, is revealing too much privacy. RHB categorized me as high risk when other banks offer me 85% when I only asked for 80%...

I understand from a few My banks that they apply 70% DSR to foreigners and locals alike, slightly less stringent than us.

Meridin at Medini and Astaka Project in Iskandar - any good?

How much is the cost of ID? Anyway, I notice the majority of Malaysian condos will only come with BTO HDB standards of materials. Even Astaka only gives Sg OCR / mass market type of condo finishes. Afternote: By "majority", I meant the majority of those I had viewed.

Well, the percentage of Chinese buyers is around 50% now. I doubt they wil reach 90%, but who knows. I do however, agree that they are known to speak loudly, spit and smoke everywhere. Heck, there is even a "No Spitting" notice in the showroom's toilets now. Regardless, I really don't think a...

If I can afford a yacht, then I would buy Puteri Harbour. Besides, quite stupid looking to park even a sampan at SEC. Nearest body of water is the waterfall, but... I paid RM718k after discount during the launch weekend. Intermediate unit. Was jostling units with all those who went for the Eco...

Neptune. So by fence, you mean brick walls or really mesh-wired fence? And the gate is the "standard" iron gate that our landed properties have? I'm ok with the height, so long there'll be some demarcation of boundaries. Else my rich neighbours will park his 4 cars into my front yard. :D

When I first heard about the 9,000+ units (originally was 10,000+ units), I was totally perplexed about the size. Compared to all the condos combined in Pasir Ris where I live, I think CG@DB will still win in terms of no of units!

Meridin at Medini and Astaka Project in Iskandar - any good?

I like to check if those who bought Meridin@Medini in May / June got any proper brochures? I was told the rather insincere "flaps" brochures I got are for the "remainder" buyers.

Also, does anyone has a softcopy of the official brochure? I heard that the earlier batches (Foresta? Montana?) were issued the usual type of "book" brochures.

I haven't scrolled through the entire thread, so I apologise if this had been asked before. Do our Aurora units come with walls and gate for the parking bays / front yard? I see that there's no walls or gates in the official SEC video, but the model houses do have them. Any clues from those...

During booking, I was given a list of 10 to 11 banks to choose from. Not sure if all of them are officially in the panel already. Regardless, I have since applied with both HSBC and CIMB.
