Exciting as the fta may seem, I dont think it extends to the free-flow of labour across borders. I can't imagine Sg agreeing to this, it would simply mess us its labour policies.

Tuas isn't really too remote with the new mrt extension. And population density may not really be relevant either because if people want to use a facility, they will make their way there by hook or by crook, except that it will not need to be by hook or crook if the mrt tuas extension brings...

There have been times when I visit officialdom (ie. Govt offices or ktm ticketing counter) and speak to the malay staff in bahasa just for practice, the staff reply in english. Perhaps they want to practice their english instead.

I'm not sure how reliable it is. The slide indicates items that appear to sit smack in the middle of R&F's site. So which is correct? I somehow get the feeling it's nothing more than advertising puffery to be taken in with a generous pinch of salt!

The R&F advertisements portray 2 iconic-looking towers that stand out from the rest, one on each side of the causeway. It looks as though the southern 'gateway' to johor and indeed malaysia has been 'hijacked' by a foreign entity. I wonder how the locals will feel.
