    From somebody to nobody

Nope. He is a rich man having been an EVP earning easily in excess of £25k per month. But despite this, he said he couldn't cope with the loss of authority because he has become a nobody.

I just bought a $2.14 Daiso watch post my dinner

    I guess so. That's probably why it's $2.14.

I just bought a $2.14 Daiso watch post my dinner

My only regret buying this $2.14 watch is that I misinterpreted the word 非防水 to mean waterproof. I think it's the opposite of waterproof. Correct? Which means I can't swim with this watch.

I just bought a $2.14 Daiso watch post my dinner

Nope. I am buying a watch to replace my Casio and adopting a minimalist lifestyle. In any event, if this $2.14 watch malfunctions, I will not even buy a watch anymore in my life. The mobile phone tells the time too.

I just bought a $2.14 Daiso watch post my dinner

My Casio watch since NS days has finally kicked the bucket today despite a new battery change. I reckon it's a complete waste of money buying another Casio watch. A watch tells time. If this $2.14 watch tells the time accurately, it will be a good watch.

    From somebody to nobody

I spoke to a retired.MNC Englishman senior management who had left the company's end of last year. He was my assigned mentor when he was still EVP. This afternoon, I met up with him for lunch and something he said struck me deeply. He said since his retirement last year, he had to transition...

Sorry. I believe you are mistaken. Time will tell.

Why do Uniglo staff keep on repeating "Welcome to Uniglo"?

I only buy sale items in Uniglo. Usually, I will walk in, look around if there are any sale items that I need. if there aren't any, I walk out. I don't even want to look at their limited offer items.

Why do Uniglo staff keep on repeating "Welcome to Uniglo"?

Daiso doesn't do that. Ironha doesn't do that. Medi-ya doesn't do that. They are all Japanese businesses.

Why do Uniglo staff keep on repeating "Welcome to Uniglo"?

Is there a good reason why they are made to say "Welcome to Uniglo" whenever they see a customer? It feels so fake.

Is it more advantageous to have an English name for my career?

Yes, I felt that too. It's like coming from a well educated family.

Is it more advantageous to have an English name for my career?

This is so funny from your list. Chinese: Qiáozhì (乔治 in Simplified Chinese or 喬治 in Traditional Chinese) Cantonese: 佐治 (zo2 zi6 in Jyutping) The Japanese and Korean version is Joji..Sounds funny too. I like the German one. Gio. Short and nice. I didn't know Giordano is German. Funny.
