Chitchat 60 yo lao hero stabs and kills 39 yo son in law at Boon Tat street today

Proverbs 18: 11 A rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his imagination. 12 Before destruction a man's heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

That sounds quite humble. I was under the impression he was on the fast track to hit superscale by 35. Perhaps people are quick to judge based on the unnatural rise of other lesser princes/princesses. If he really leaves after his contract ends, then he would honor the memory of his grandfather.

Given his CEP and the portfolio he has been given, he has a good chance of becoming Head of Civil Service.

That is quite close to what I am asking. It appears that PM cannot sue without dragging LWL/LHY into the lawsuit.

That only applies if it has been established in a court of law that what they have said is untrue and therefore defamatory. Since this has not gone to court, how do we know what they have said is untrue?

Let us assume that there is no law suit against LWL/LHY. Can an opposition politician say that he believes that LHL has abused power based on what LWL/LHY has revealed?

LHL has indicated that he will not be suing his siblings. Here's one for the lawyers that hang out here. Does this mean that if an opposition politician quotes these allegations he cannot be sued? For example can GMS be sued if he says that he believes that LHL has abused power based on what LHY...

Chitchat pls give LTK a tiger

When I call a man openly, you're a liar, you're dishonest, and you do not dare to sue me, there's something basically wrong. And I will repeat it anywhere and you can't go and say, oh, I have apologised; let's move on. Can you commit a dishonourable -- maybe even one which is against the law --...

LWL should just look after herself and stay there for the next 30 years. Given the way things are going, there will probably be nothing left to milk in 30 years.

Analysis and critique of Pinky's statements to Parliament

Re: Analysis and Critique of LHL Ministerial Statement, July 3rd He humiliated LKY in front of Cabinet. LKY probably attended with the expectation that it would be discussion and that they would abide by his dying wish. He never expected that these people which he had raised up would turn...

That is what will happen to the majority of our children. When the job opportunities here dry up, our children will be forced to go overseas. NUS, NTU, SMU etc will cease to become the dream outcome of Singapore parents. Instead everyone will be doing what they can to send their children to US...

I don't expect fireworks of any sort. Rather I expect more of the slow steady decline which we have been experiencing. With his New Citizen vote bank, LHL will be able to comfortably win elections for at least 20 years. That more than capital will ensure that the decline will be orderly.

In all wills, the executors are those which the dying have faith will fulfill their last wishes. You would for example not appoint a wayward son or his wife to be an executor of your last will and testament. You would keep your final will secret if you know that you want is not what your son...

Chitchat Future bodes ill for Singapore (next 20 years painful to watch)

Singapore will obviously still be around in 20 years...much like Liverpool, Venice, Detroit, Atlantic City etc are still around. The Singapore 20 years from now will however be a husk of the Singapore that once was. If things remain the same in 30 to 40 years, we will probably see a depopulated...

For those of us watching and recording the long game, this is event is one of the more important milestones. It changes nothing with regard to the narrative of Singapore's decline. The next 20 years will be painful to watch.

The picture which emerges is incredibly sad. A daughter who forces her aged dying father to "capitulate" to her will. A daughter in law who rejoices at her "victory" of forcing a dying old man. Birthday celebrations reluctantly attended out of obligation rather than out of love.

Letter is suggestive that LKY was deeply hurt and disappointed by LHL before his passing. It says a lot when a person has to change his will to guard against what his own son might do. It says even more when a son openly disregards his father's dying wish. The unspoken story of why LHY and LWL...
