The PM said $5K is derisory. But why is he paying each and every sinkies who doesn't meet the MS a derisory amount?

How many sinkies contribute 10K a year in CPF? And with MS increases at an average of 8K pa, most Sinkies can never be able to meet the MS requirement.

I agree with you. The best opportunity to settle out of court was when Roy made the $5K offer. He miscalculated and opportunity was gone. The fall out will be massive if he do so now. Our leeders cannot lose face. No way!

Almost the entire cabinet members are sitting on the Board of Temasick & GIC. Are they paid a director's fee? If so, besides the big fat salary, they are also receiving income from these positions. So their actual pay cheques are much higher?

Seriouly, are these even solutions? It means Sinkies have not enough money to retire and have to work longer. Again, Sinkies has to monetized their flat for retirement. CPF Life means locking away up to 150K (for now) of our hard earn savings. Further, the payout is not guaranteed...
