    Exchange Rates for RM

I've a theory in this; money changer controls the rates however they want, but banks must follow some standard formula for the exchange rates. And the spread for banks' exchange rates are consistent the same.

    Exchange Rates for RM

Bro Narmi, I just checked Raffles in JP; cash rate is 2.583 and TT rate is 2.593. That's pretty bad since the XE.com rate has maintained above 2.62.

Thanks for the clarification, which as corrected should be daily limit. For Msians, there is no such limit.

    Exchange Rates for RM

Actually if you had taken the time to read the thread, even just up to a few weeks ago, you would have learnt that Raffles Money Changer in Jurong Point also does TT with $10 administration fee for amounts below RM50k.

    Exchange Rates for RM

TT rate at Raffles Jurong Point on 25/9 was 2.546 only, cash rate was 2.542. Hopefully next week the rates will increase since RM seems to be weakening against the SGD.

I think he's referring to the main fuse located in the meter compartment at ur gate pillar. Some contractors have been known to "borrow" the TNB fuse to use in their customers house to get electricity for Reno work; they sometimes forget to return it.

Actually regardless of whether you're Msian or another nationality, using RM800 worth of electricity is really a lot. And trying to illegally reduce it is worse. If u wanna use it, then pay for it. My TNB bill ranges from RM350-500 and I use aircond a few hours everyday. I guess PuteriWorld...

The new Autopass issued now doesn't have the chip, so some carparks cannot read this new Autopass and end up have to buy a NETS cashcard with chip. That's how I solved my problem and I also installed an IU in my car.

If the Johor state government charges RM20 per SG car; the money can be used to maintain the roads, pay the immigration officers, etc. And RM20 or even RM40 is just around S$8-16; savings from shopping, eating, massage and watching movies will be in the hundreds of SGD. So, it will be...

I'm not wishing for COE to remain at current levels. It's just another viewpoint whereby with the Gov increasing VEP; it could indirectly cause the COE to remain at high levels because of increased demand from EP holders who can afford to buy a SG car. Malpaso, maybe the JB agent is a Singaporean.

Regarding the VEP increase, I read a comment on sgcarmart forum about how some EP holders might buy a Sg car to avoid paying higher VEP. That will maintain a certain level of demand for new cars and COE won't drop to pre-2009 levels

    Renovation to your homes

Hi Grago, the outlet valve shown in the photo is for the water going to the bathrooms. My right, my water pump should be installed at that section, which I can confirm once I climb up there. Thanks for your concern. I will take special care when I'm up there; no intention of getting injured...

    Renovation to your homes

Bro Grago & Snowbird, thanks for the fantastic advice. The outlet pipe is in the master bathroom, ugly grey pipe sticking 3-4" out of the wall. Now I just need to climb into the roof again to survey the valves before I start my work. There's enough space into roof to move around and the good...

    Renovation to your homes

Bro Grago, how did u clean the tank? DIY or u called a contractor in to do it? What's the cost if u called a contractor? I was thinking of buying a long pipe; then climb into the roof and just suck the sand out into the bathroom using the simple physics of high to low water pressure.

    Renovation to your homes

Thanks for ur feedback. I bought the pump on my own and my contractor installed it for me. There are no settings on the pump when I saw it at the shop. Actually, even though water gushes out strongly, fortunately the water shoots straight into the basin hole, so no issue for me. I was just...

That would be my opinion too. Alternatively, usually pressure is more important when bathing... So can just buy water heaters with built-in pump to install in every bathroom. The water pump also increase pressure for the basin, and it's not pleasant when a new person doesn't know, turns on the...
