    If a serious mishap occurs intentionally or accidentally, a uncontrollable high speed train crashing into the destination will cause catastrophic disaster. To mitigate the impact, a rather remote station with less inhabitants is preferred.

    Say a Singaporean take HSR from Singapore to KL, he still can move around in KL without his car with LRT/MRT. Vice-versa for a KL guy travel from KL to Singapore. But to the rest of other stops like Seremban, Muar etc, using existing local transports will be unbearable unless there is car rental...

    I wonder they minutes down what they have been discussed many years ago, now still at the stage of 'proposal wanted...', sigh!:*: As you can see, the intra rail operations discussion within JB (same country) already take so long, let alone the rts station which involve two countries.

    Yes, it is indeed snail slow. The only reason I can see is that Beijing and Shanghai are in the same country, whereas JB and Woodland are in different country. Similarly, Shenzen and Hong Kong vs JB and Singapore are two different scenario.
