The current prata shop at Frankel not so great. Nowadays all prata shop possibly get all their dough from one source. Only their curries are prepared by them. Unlike Jln Kayu in the old days, whose prata was unique, these days what we get are from factories and all taste exactly the same...

Not all wet markets are equal. Some wet markets sells at higher prices due to the neighbourhood where it is located. I would consider Marine Parade wet market as selling at higher prices than say Whampoa.

Lau's Arcadia seems to have bad feng shui. Most tenants there did not survived and there were countless. I know the place well as my old family doctor was located there next to the duck rice stall.

Before there was Marine Parade reclaimed land, the Katong Convent Girl's School was next to the beach. I remember there was a small park where I used to go to take the ice kachang enjoying the sea breeze. Good times back in the old days.
