It is not fearmongering. Base on 50 years experience, there is a higher chance of good people in Opposition dropping out than bad people in PAP dropping out if results were not favourable. Being Opposition in unique Singapore is time consuming, money consuming, effort consuming and high risk.

Thus LTY was dismissed and given an unimportant Director role at a PAP company call NTUC to live the rest of his life.
