    Get smart over Aussie Taxes

For myself, is mostly to look after/cover my family. Also to avoid the additional loading when I do want to purchase health insurance in the future. To save on tax is a secondary purpose. It just that I'm still fairly new to the Medicare system. Will it be sufficient to cover my family medical...

    Get smart over Aussie Taxes

Waiting for you Bro Neddy to start the thread on the latest Budget! Was surprised to see the baby bonus taken away (but there are other schemes superseding it like the Paid Parental Leave). Thinking of getting the Basic Cover for Health Insurance with Medibank Private. I've got about 6 months...

    Death of the Emigration Folder

Which coffee taste better? Capsule or the old fashioned powder (coffee machine type)? I have a cheap $98 powdered-type coffee machine which i bought a couple of months ago from Harvey Norman. Only used about 5 times so far as I'm the only coffee drinker at home and seems troublesome to wash up...

    Death of the Emigration Folder

There are a lot of migrants over here, doing something not related to their studies: - Asian Migrants studying accounting, and not going into accounting route upon graduation. Many people like me did it for PR purposes. - Indian Migrants studying IT, eventually a lot of them are going around...

Is getting a PR from other country enough..to migrate?

Very true. I did my 'A's in sg and didn't get any exemptions when I did my degree here.. diploma holders from polys in singapore got exemptions. Doesn't matter if the uni is lousy or not. As long as you fulfill the min. requirements to start towards your CPA/CA, they will let you study...

Is getting a PR from other country enough..to migrate?

You can probably get an entry level book-keeping job with a diploma from TAFE. As for good book-keeping job, you might need to study further. To survive in the accounting industry, you'll need to head towards a CPA or a CA. This is the general consensus in the industry. Of course there are a few...
