Singaporeans are easily taken in by sweet words and advertisements. They also don't think hard and far enough. I think most Singaporeans have been made dumb by the government. What they say, we must follow. Don't ask questions. You protest, you will be punished. So many have "follow the herd"...

What does this mean? Bank loan interest will drop? I read elsewhere some people further interpreted the RM currency will drop some more. Is this possible? Doesn't sound good in the longer term for foreign investors as it means the value of their properties is reduced.

Singapore has made it clear they will follow suit. At RM20, I think many Singaporeans may still be undeterred. After all, they save a lot by buying their properties in Johor already.

I will check out what movie they are making. Sounds so interesting. I never know much what they are doing. :) Never ever heard also a company will buy so huge a land to do filming!

Hmmm... wonder why they need such a huge space.... but they are leaving it as a forest so far. Make a film about forests maybe? :)

They are already attracting foreign companies. As for migration, I think it could be many years later. Right now, convenient transportation from SG is still inadequate. I feel as long as there are stringent checks at the checkpoints and need to stamp passports, it's hard to ease the jams.

Yes. That's why u mentioned b4 u bought your PH to enjoy the place and don't care if it makes or lose money right? Looking at the vast amount of land in Iskandar, it's hard to imagine any investment potential in the short to mid term. Though I've read the authorities are trying hard to bring...

wow.. had to do a conversion. That's like more than 1.2 million sq ft of forest! Huge.... Does that forested land belong to Pinewood Studio? Are Medini 7 and 9 office buildings near there? Can't find them on the map.

Sounds good. Do you all think in future, Iskandar Puteri can become like Singapore's Shenton Way?

More pictures! Iskandar Residences: Bird's eye view of 1 Medini, Medini Signature and the rest of Medini.... Still got a very long way to go to develop the whole place. The picture reminds me of Singapore in the late 70's and early 80's.

I'm a newbie to this. Hope some of you can help me interpret these pictures taken from checkpoint.sg. Suppose I want to go into Tuas from SG and want to see how crowded the traffic is, do I look at pictures 1 and 2 labelled above? What I don't understand is, if the Tuas 2nd link (picture...

Heyyyy... Dun say until like dat leh. Massage parlours and shopping malls and all that are only a tiny part of JB. You forgot the big industries and foreign investments! If you look at the newer parts of Iskandar 10 years ago, wasn't it just forests? Today, there are roads, water supply...

The amount deducted is principal+interest. It's just that you earn the same interest from your current account to offset the interest you lose in the loan. So in that sense, you don't pay any interest. But by the time the property is completed, it means the bank will have released the full...

Not so simple I think. For progressive payment, the bank will disburse lump sums along the way. The interest will start from the 1st disbursement. So one needs to keep pumping in the same amounts disbursed in Current a/c. When the property is completed and the full loan is disbursed, say...

Oeiii.. why you so bad bad one?! Pour cold water. :( I don't know much about how the Hong Kong citizens feel regarding HK-SZ. But we can't say Singaporeans will feel the same in future also. We can't predict till so far. But I feel there are strong signs to show the strains. Generally...

One thing I have to admit is I'm amazed at how fast and confident they are at getting things done. Other countries need 5-7 years and they say they can do it within 3 years using "advance technology". China is progressing fast indeed. 15-20 years ago, we only know Japan who is into such...

I wonder where are all the owners of Iskandar Residences who previously posted actively. Sorry if this forum has become so messy and a rojak. Do come in to post again if you happen to read. I found this picture recently on another forum. On the left is 1 Medini, in front of it should be...

Hmm.. now that you mentioned it, I wonder who requires traveling from KL to SG and SG back to KL so quickly. Probably some businessmen....But they can't possibly form the main bulk of the passengers. It seems likely China may come in again and win the HSR contract. They have the money. If...
