    HSR and RTS Discussion

Well at least there is a shuttle service to Iskandar Puteri from SG. They won't plan this for nothing. Lose money or not remains to be seen....

    HSR and RTS Discussion

It was mentioned commuters need to only go through one checkpoint at the point of departure, not at the point of arrival. Does that mean if one travels from SG, he or she only needs to go thru immigration at the SG side, and just walks out upon reaching any of the stations along the HSR route...

Memories of the past.... It's been over 10 years and it's amazing to see how the SG landscape has developed and changed so much. The black and white photo looks like it was taken in the '80s but it's actually not that long ago. I wonder if Medini will also be transformed to something so...

Either buyers of today's SG properties are very rich or very silly! Ok, maybe it's sour grapes for me. :) The condo sizes and pricing are ridiculous. There are still agents coming to me saying it's now a good time to buy or how great it is. To be honest, I think HDB flats are much better...

RTS rapid transit system linking Johor and Singapore (MASTEEL)

I saw some bus stops already erected in Medini when I was there a few weeks ago. They are not in service yet of course. Wonder if they form part of the BRT.

RTS rapid transit system linking Johor and Singapore (MASTEEL)

Maybe after the HSR project is more settled, they might just turn their attention to the RTS? I read that they are now trying to implement the BRT, the bus system. Hopefully that will improve the connectivity within Iskandar.

RTS rapid transit system linking Johor and Singapore (MASTEEL)

We can only hope the authorities get it planned ASAP. There has been so much talk about this but nothing much has progressed.

JB charging RM20 for foreign car visiting ? Is it confirm ?

Haha... you also enjoy Johor! Why not buy a home there to relax? Ok,, you did mention don't buy condo. Can consider a landed house then. It's sometimes nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of crowded SG.

RTS rapid transit system linking Johor and Singapore (MASTEEL)

Yes.... At least there is some talk. At least this project is not just Johor alone. It involves KL side also. Rather major one. Biggest transport thing to happen in SE Asia in history. And at least it involves Singapore. I don't think that PM Lee will be so reckless to start something so big...

You so notti... *pinch your backside* Life is more pleasant if we get excited (in a positive way) over little things.

RTS rapid transit system linking Johor and Singapore (MASTEEL)

Nooooo.... Pleasssse dun destroy the dream! :) I'm quite confident of this HSR thingy. Once the buying interest picks up again, and the global economy improves, we might see more activities. What I'm more uncertain about is when they can complete it. 2020 is out for sure. 2022? I'm not...

RTS rapid transit system linking Johor and Singapore (MASTEEL)

HSR news in today's Straits Times! We might just see a revival of interest/demand in Iskankar properties after July this year! Especially those in flagship B. :D Hope things take off well.... July 15, 2016 Singapore and Malaysia to sign MOU on high speed rail project KUALA...

JB charging RM20 for foreign car visiting ? Is it confirm ?

Hopefully they come to their senses soon! It's like self-destruction. With the possibility of boosting their economy many times, they should want more visitors from Singapore.

Good article. It's a reality check. Buy to stay. Don't invest. Think the above is the best advice.

JB charging RM20 for foreign car visiting ? Is it confirm ?

Sometimes, I don't understand what's on the minds of the Johor authorities or how the Malaysian system works. If I were a minister in Malaysia, I want to quickly boost my country to 1st world status. Or in the case of Johor, I know Singapore is a prosperous nation despite its smaller size. I...

Which part or views are you referring to here? The property oversupply in Johor? Good for you.... If you had been here in 2013 to warn, you might have "saved" some Singaporean investors! :)

    Economic News

This may be slight good news for Malaysian property investors? But I doubt they will save a lot. Anyway, those who are considering entering the market might have problems also as banks have tightened their loans. I was speaking to a Malaysian bank rep and she told me the oversupply of...

JB charging RM20 for foreign car visiting ? Is it confirm ?

Wahh, you got so many things to do in Johor every weekend? No wonder you're so tired. It's the travelling in and out that kills your energy and mood. If you do it regularly every weekend, you should buy a small condo in Johor. Rest well there on Sat, enjoy the facilities and leave on Sun. :)

I happened to see this forum http://www.iproperty.com.my/iexpert/Question.aspx?ID=1687 This was posted by someone: "I'm a condo unit owner in KL. The JMB in my condo has increased the maintenance charges recently. The last 4 years, the old rate was imposed but some of the condo common...

Do you have any in Malaysia? You avoiding it because you're not confident of it any more? You interested in Zone A only is it because it has all the amenities already there, and so higher chance of rental and capital appreciation?
