I am thinking of putting some FD in RM in Malaysia in anticipation of paying off bank loan. How can we move the money? Can we only TT RM10K per day?

This is a matter of concern for me too. Should have bought the Twin Villas at East Ledang instead of the corner terrace?

They have a few colors. But for the glossy UPVC types which is so much in nowadays, I think there is an upcharge. Their quality is comparable to those like Classics in Singapore. Just check out the East Ledang showrooms. I think the twin villas showrooms are done by them..

Signature Kitchen has a promotion for their Stello wardrobe. Was at their showroom at Taman Molek yesterday, and saw that the biggest size, 10 feet, is about RM3K plus... They will come measure and make to order to fit in exactly what you need in your room. Hope this helps...

The electricity bills seem low for a house. We are contemplating whether to install ceiling fans or just use air cons. Has anyone ponder over this and arrive at one decision or the other?

Hi rw6akr I was at one of the show bungalows at Melody Park yesterday when I was caught in a thunderstorm. The rain was coming down like at 180 degrees, and it was really raining cats and dogs. I was very shocked when 5 minutes later, I began to see rain water seeping through all the windows...

Nice twin villa! I can't still help regretting not buying the twin villa instead of a corner terrace. Hope you don't mind if I pop by for the seeds you offered someone else! ;) But that will probably be late next year when we move in. GBU!

The New Straits Times reported today on Ron 95 & Ron 97. Yesterday Ron 97 went up 20 sen to RM2.70 per litre. This followed an increase in the world crude oil price to US$114 per barrel this week from US$105 per barrel last week. Anyone pump gasoline today?

Sorry. Now, I am not sure if I am seeing 2.3K or 23K. On looking at the link you post again carefully, it is saying 2.5KRM for an old car in Malaysia. Seriously, 2.5K! Can it even start? I cannot believe it. Can't they scrap it for more money? :)

Hi Cathy No. It is not me getting Malaysian license. I already have a Singapore license and will be driving my Singapore car. It is my wife who doesn't have a driving license yet who will be getting a Malaysian license, getting a Malaysian car, and for driving in Malaysia only. But your...

Yes, this is very good news for my wife, who does not drive. She has finally taken the courage to go learn driving. But this news will take some pressue off her when we moved to EL next year. I have told her that it will be easier to get a licence in Malaysia and just get a Malaysian car, but...

Actually I saw one even lower at RM23K, an old Proton Saga. I was getting my car washed at Giant (Bukit Indah), and there were several 2nd hand cars parked nearby with sales price tag on it. The salesman there was very friendly and started chatting with me. Was told that the top of the range...

I think we need a "sticky" in page 1 of this thread. I have definitely read about this somewhere in this humongous thread, but can't seems to find it. Perhaps a "sticky" in page 1 with all important info such as this, as well as payments for electric bills, etc, etc. That will helpa lot...
