yes its a joint venture , where most of the talent from bollywood made this movie possible, and got recognition by mean of awards world over.Yes ,they were speaking in English and the novel was in english, and was written by an Indian author.

I think you should really read up about the film co - director is indian , writer is indian , 90 % cast is indian , music is by an indian , technicians are indian , they too got oscars???
