Sharing your personal experience commuting/living in JB, Johore and MY at large

Anyone can give a daily breakdown of the average time taken to clear causeway on weekdays for those traveling into SG in the morning and back to JB in the evenings? What's the best strategy?

    Living in JB 3 (Johore)

I visited legoland last weekend evening on the advice of bro wuqi. I stayed from 4-7pm. The advantage of evening over morning is that the lights in the Lego models will be lighted up by 6pm. The last 1 hour is a good time to take photos and marvel at the lighted models in cool air.

In case any of us miss it, ST reported that Najib hinted of mega investments to be announced soon for the Iskandar region. That bodes well for everyone who has vested. Stay tuned.

Need some advise from bros who've visited legoland. I'm wondering whether to take my kids there this weekend. In your opinion, would it be very crowded such that we've to wait hours for the rides? What's your experience with the crowd on t opening weekend?

    New developments to share

I bought a bungalow. I thought it was quite a lot more expensive than the initial launch prices.... But prices in ph5 has gone even much higher.

Don't bother about the pricing in the brochure. It's marked up. Semi d is 1.7 up and bungalows 3.3 up, I think. But most of the units near the facilities are sold. Btw, do you know that xie shao guang is now a chef at a buddhist vegetarian restaurant nearby? He can really cook!

    New developments to share

Thanks. BRDB is quite a reputable developer in MY. The project is delayed by about 6 months though. But overall, they've delivered well. Yes - cant change the facade is a limitation. I wanted to build a couple of additions to the exterior but the requests were rejected by the developer. I...

Thanks. Anyway my friends are just looking around - they are not looking at buying a property. But they are certainly impressed with the developments in JB.

Cool. Is legoland opened? Apart from making the card, what else can one do there?

My point about cash is the concept of equity dividend rate, ie. cash on cash return on the property investment, not on the down payment. Most people take a bank loan, and if rental yields are higher around JB currently, the EDR is higher which requires less cash to service the loan.

This is another perspective from an investment and cash flow standpoint. JB is brown field while nusajaya is green field. Therefore, to develop, JB will have to tear and rebuild while nusajaya will have the space to architect an entire new city. On the flip side, there are more people and...

I see. Thanks, so it's important to get the right units. But I thought its difficult to make the judgement purely by looking at the models. Can't drive around to see for ourselves due to the security. East Ledang looks nice. Apart from the very first time I was there more than a year ago, each...

I've brought my friends to HH a couple of times in the past. I thought the environment looked nice but the showhouse was a little disappointing as it was clustered with rows of houses and no golf view. There was also no bungalow show unit too. One thing that I learnt from this forum is the...

Because she works and stayed in SG for many years until recently when her relative fell ill and she brought her SG maid back to her JB home to take care of the relative. She also moved back to JB and commute to work in SG everyday. Only recently she was stopped at the custom while ferrying the maid.

I recall a similar clause in my s&p. The tolerance is not in the drawings. It is stated as a condition for claiming against the developer. You might want to read yours carefully.
