Took this route from office in Senai to Desaru on Friday evening. Nice drive and roads. Surprised to see so many SG plate at all the Desaru resorts. Had a good seafood dinner at Sungai Rengit after. However do note that there is toll. It is only toll free from PG to Desaru, not Senai to Desaru.

Very well said. I think we all have to take responsibility by not painting ourselves as easy targets. We take security for granted in SG but have to be more careful abroad. I find it wise to park closer to crowded areas although got to walk more and ensure no bags/cases/laptops or anything...

My landlord has grilles and a security system in place (no camera though). I think it is not necessary especially if you are on good terms with your neighbours as they will help to 'jaga' the place when you are not around :)

Do note that in SG and MY, our fuels are rated as RON (Research Octane Number) but US/Canada it is PON (Pump Octane Number). Your Octane 87 is most likely PON 87 which is equal to RON 91. The reason for running higher octane petrol for cars depends on the compression ratio of the engine...

I have been in HH coming to a week already and the security there is superb. The guards are very strict on letting people in and they have regular patrols (on scooters) round the estate.
