Singapore is a natural place to invest for Singaporeans if TDSR & ABSD & $ is not an issue, period. Malaysia esp Iskandar is a different animal altogether. It's meant for different purposes. Buying a home in Iskandar for retirement or Holiday/Vacation stay is good. For investment your horizon...

Past decade SG property prices Doubled with the influx of FTs. A large number of them are Chinese. Iskandar only needs 10%(100k) of these Talents to mop up the current excess units. If more were to come, 330k in the pipeline also not enough. :p

Iskandar feeds off SG. Undeniable fact. If SG does well. So would Iskandar. If SG don't. So would Iskandar. :D

If u are investing in Iskandar for CA and expect quick gain in 5-10years, yes, SG & Singaporeans are crucial to your Gameplan. But if you are buying for self-stay and retirement mainly. With or Without SG & Sporeans not much diff. ;)

Actually i'm happy if little to no SG move over to Iskandar. Defeats the purpose of me buying a retirement home there for family use. I'm very happy with the current status Quo. Thou i know it's impossible for JB to stagnant forever. :rolleyes:
