  • I am most of the time in a Third world country's province. Thought there is corruption, I find the place ideal and truly have peace of mind. I don't feel stressed. The public servants are friendly and helpful. They treat you with respect and accept criticism in their stride.
A world of a difference in Singapore. A place where even it's own returning nationals are viewed with suspicion. Where the Immigration, Customs and auxiliary policemen (security guards) acts like the Almighty. A nation which proudly put up signs stating that their staff would be protected from vebal and physical abuse, a nation where no one is allowed to use cameras to take pictures of abusive civil servants.
Truly a stressful and worthless place to return to.
Have we not slipped into the gutters amongst the filthiest rats and other vermin? What are we going to do?
5 million plus people Residing in Singapore???????????Lately, there was a report stating that about 5.1 million people are present in our midst. This figure includes foreigners who work here and their immediate families and the others who are here as karung-guni men, cleaners and others doing menial tasks.I personally feel that about 3.5 milion in total would be an ideal and comfortable figure. The lesser we are means less crowds, less traffic woes, more space in buses and MRTs and more jobs for everyone. It would also mean fewere constituencies and lesser MPs. The authorities can also help anyone who is in need. Hspoitals would also have more beds to treat the sick. Is'nt this figure far too much for a tiny nation like ours?I am not a wily politician, "brainy" economist. I am just a simple man.You may wish to contribute to this.
