Iran replied after Trump make the following threat:

Trump gave a televised interview on Fox News declaring that the U.S. will step up its targeting from purely military assets to vital civilian infrastructure
Trump wrote on Truth Social that the U.S. would be "forced to militarily complete the job". He directly stated: "If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!"

That's the only way the Islamic terrorist regime can understand. Otherwise, they'll continue to terrorize the world economy by holding the Hormuz and bab el mandeb straits hostage. Trump needs to take action until the Persian people (long oppressed by the Islamic terrorist regime) are pushed to the brink to finally have the balls to overthrow the Islamic terrorist regime.
Had Trump not halted the MoU and instead proceeded accordingly, pro-US factions might have gained public support, indirectly benefiting the US. However, by sabotaging the agreement and withdrawing from the negotiations, Trump caused these factions to lose ground to hardliners, especially following the series of attacks that occurred throughout the week.

During the ceasefire and MoU period, particularly throughout the attacks of the last few weeks, Trump has maintained control over the situation and possesses the authority to start and end the offensive at any moment. Should any issues arise, Qatar and Pakistan(contacting the Iran for MoU issue) are available to assist in de-escalation. While he has successfully navigated previous attempts, it remains to be seen what the outcome of this latest development will be.
