Living without integrity actually pays off better?

General

There's actually research backing this up - studies show that a large number of top corporate leaders have psychopathic traits and personality disorders. Yet these are the exact people climbing the fastest and doing the best.

We have 1 popular example here that just happened recently. A female married content creator cum property agent posting all her "hustle" content, building this whole image of grinding her way to the top. Turns out she was sleeping with her married boss the entire time. Got exposed, drama blew up, and then? Still posting, still active, still doing well. Zero accountability whatsoever.

And this isn't a one off thing. It keeps playing out the same way. The shameless ones win. The ruthless ones win. The ones with zero moral compass just thrive.

Meanwhile the people actually trying to do things properly keep getting the short end of the stick.

So what's the actual lesson here? Being fkx up is the way to go?

If your boss is forever criticizing your mediocre performance, take heart: buy a car that's nicer than theirs. From that moment on, every poor review becomes obvious proof of jealousy seeking revenge.

@duluxe agree?

Only a 老實人 like @Boonsiong absorbs an insult in silence. An elite school trains you to repay it - with compound interest.:biggrin:

I will not feel insulted
People will bully 老实人 will have 先世报

People with low empathy or high narcissism are not burdened by guilt, shame or self-doubt. That is a distinct advantage; they do not behave like a normal person who makes a mistake which causes them to reflect and feel guilt. The shameless person does not need to hide; they keep pushing or try to justify their actions because they do not care what others think. In a world with a short attention span, this often works in the short term. Greedy PAP politicians keep getting voted back to form a govt that taxes its people to death, pays themselves obscene salaries and keeps claiming to be honest when they are involved in shady deals.

Continue to encourage no need integrity and you will soon see a society filled with people with no integrity.
Which means not honourable and cannot be trusted to keep one's word.
We always know takes years to build reputation and a day to destroy it.
