Sinkies cannot watch movies in dialects but no restrictions on CECAs for Hindi movies

I think the dialect restriction has been removed.

The PAP regime uses dialects to transmit propaganda to the Sinkie Chinese old farts.

You sure or not? Don't blabber about something you know nothing about.

Did you know the Teochew version of 'Dear You' was initially banned here because:

"The authority said the approach was consistent with current practice, under which full dialect films may be screened at festival or niche events to provide access for those who wish to view such content in its original language.

"IMDA added that this continued to support the bilingual policy, which it said aims to promote Mandarin as the main language among Chinese Singaporeans. Films featuring dialect content are permitted only on a case-by-case basis."

The ban was only lifted after a hue and cry was raised in Parliament and by local filmnakers. And then only partially: screening of the Teochew version will be limited to Vivo City for only one week.

In Parliament in January 2023, Josephine Teo reaffirmed that restrictions on dialect content in free-to-air broadcasting remained necessary to support Mandarin while acknowledging that dialect programming could play an important role in communicating with elderly residents

Hindi flims OK tho.
It's nonsense. If the Speak Mandarin campaign had succeeded after 47 years, a ban on Teochew films wouldn't be necessary. If the campaign had failed, banning the film would not make any difference, given that 47 years had passed with little result.

Either way there's no logical rationale to ban dialect movies.

A lot of old fuck are high motivated to go Pak Zhan not too long ago by this song

If your mother is Teichew…your mother tongue is Teocjew.

Since our national language is Bahasa Melayu…in fact this should be the first language spoken and used in all public information.
