You put words in my mouth again and again. I just observed that I have seen many Europeans wear socks with slides during my trips to Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain except in winter. They did not look strange or weird in any way, shape or form.

I should start wearing socks with my slides. It will make the insoles cleaner. Dirt and sand from my bare feet stain my slides w/o socks.
