The bus captain eventually let the passengers alight at Khalsa Crescent, forcing them to walk back to Woodlands North MRT station.

Both bus stops are only serviced by Tower Transit's 856. Google Maps indicates that both stops are some 500 metres apart and would take eight minutes on foot.
 
Usually, there should be a door cock at the top for emergency use. Just press it and the door will automatically open.
 
Some bus drivers are very kwai kan eg purposely jam the brakes.
 
Sounds like both are foreigners. They can go fuck each other.
