There are many visitors using our swimming pool, gym, tennis courts and BBQ pits; especially on weekends. Most are friends of residents, but there are trespassers who merely follow residents in by the back entrances to use the pool and gym.
 
The public should be allowed in officially if MCST take public funds. No free lunch. If condo residents not happy, they pay up and top up the sinking funds

The starting salary of Xiaxue’s ex Husband who is an Ang mo was ard sg$6500 in 2009. That is a lot for a junior engineer those days and CECAs are earning way more and their companies paying for their rent and children’s international school fees

If CECAs are paying between $6K - $10K in monthly rental for condo units along Bukit Timah and Dunearn Road, you can bet that their salaries are more than double their rental. Even if their employers are paying for the rent, these CECAs must be occupying high professional or management positions to receive such perks.

These include systems to prevent lifts from moving unless the doors are fully closed and secured, or to automatically stop them if they move upwards too quickly.

“We do not intend for (co-funding) to be used to support R&R and maintenance works, or to pay for the costs of general lift repairs or lift replacements,” BCA said. “Such costs should be funded from the private development’s sinking and maintenance funds.”

The problem with ageing condos is that the lifts usually become obsolete i.e. no more spare parts, so the entire system has to be overhauled. That may cost more than $10K per household, so the ground floor units will definitely vote against this. In fact, some elderly retirees staying in higher floors may also not be in favour of a refurbishment because they cannot afford it.
