Serious Sinkies slapped with higher power bills due to Iran War! Samsters steamed?

My companies few neighbours renewed to JHK towkays. All the native sinkies bosses decided meaningless to continue giving jobs to aliens and sold off the factories instead of passing to next gen.
S'porean bosses are no better than foreigners. My worse boss was a bald headed ugly and short mother fucker local who would belittle any subordinate deemed to be a threat to his position, or drove a more expensive car to the office compared to his tiny Honda.

The city-state is among countries that rely the most on imported natural gas, with more than 90% of its electricity generated from LNG. Last year, around half of its purchases of the super-chilled fuel were from Qatar, according to ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg.
The Bloomberg data highlighting Qatar as a primary source is significant because it underscores Singapore's shift toward long-term energy security.

  • Diversification: While Singapore historically relied on piped natural gas (PNG) from Malaysia and Indonesia, those supplies have become less certain as those countries prioritize their own domestic needs.
  • The Qatar Connection: In recent years, Singapore's Pavilion Energy and Sembcorp have signed major long-term deals with QatarEnergy. These 20-year contracts are designed to hedge against the price volatility seen in the global "spot" market.

Even IF the price become $1000/barrel, the point is NO SHIP dare to sail through the straits of hormuz !
So the alternative is buy from other source. Will Malaysia feel brother enough to sell more oil to us ?
Russia placed Singapore on its official list of "unfriendly countries", will sell oil to us ?

Reminder: when anti-carbon cultists are in charge of your city, state or country, expect higher electricity bills to be the 'new normal'. It's convenient and cheap to blame the war, but don't be fooled.
